Bye, bye Steve
You can be said to be strategic by your minions but, in reality, you are sapping out. By referring the issue about which you just learned to the RCMP, you think that your no comment will be sufficient. Wrong!
For the sake of clarity, the RCMP has to one day announce what they are investigating and if they find no evidence then they will be accused of a cover up. And given their track record of late, the allegations will be justified.
Mr. President - Steve - you are a one-person wrecking ball. It is time for you to go. Please.

At least someone's relieved
That is good news for the folks at Transport Canada.
When Billy was ADM at TC he set about to screw up the department and seemed to relish in the role. He ruined the careers of many a fine public servant by treating them as cattle. He ignored internal problems and created new one all by his lonesome.
Bill Elliot - the Peter Principal personified.

Max tells all?
“Did Ms. Couillard inform me of her past ties with
people involved in organized crime? The answer is no. She did not inform, and no one else ever informed me, at any level. I knew of her past exactly what she wanted to tell me,” claims Maxie.
His dad, former MP Gilles Bernier, goes the extra step for poor Maxie. "It was certainly a trick,” he exclaims. So why did Maxie have to resign if he was set up? Dad says, "In the heat of the moment, he was forced to. He had no choice." Boo Hoo!
Got to admit though, Dad makes a better case than does Maxie.
Dad defends the misplacement of the so-called secret documents with this quip, "... he did not even know the nature of the documents." 'Scuse me? The cabinet minister did not know the nature of the documents in his red box?
But that is a better excuse than Maxie comes up with. "The level of importance of these briefing notes did not justify them being numbered so their disappearance would be noticed or they could be tracked." He seems to be claiming that he did know the nature of the documents. Is he saying that Dad is wrong?
So let's cut to the chase in this issue.
Max Bernier took Julie Couillard to visit with the GG, the PM and the rest of the Con cabinet to view his swearing in. And no one checked out Ms Couillard before the ceremony. Fire the RCMP.
Then Maxie took Julie overseas on a government jet and no one bothered to check her out? Fire the RCMP and PMO.
Maxie's department did not number the briefing notes he left in Julie's playroom. Fire his department.
Maxie's dad is making up lies to cover for his son. Fire Gilles, or at least cut off his pension.
According to Bernier, Julie is the blame for this set-up. She must be a spy so make her go away.
The only innocent person in this whole sordid affair is... wait for it... Maxime Bernier!
How cruel was it of the PM to demand his resignation?

"Perfect PP" is back and in fine form
Permission was granted so PP flew back to his temporary office on Parliament Hill and got back to work. Earlier this week the RCMP raided the Cons Ottawa HQ, looking for evidence with
respect to the 2006 election In and Out financing tactics of the Cons. The press was in attendance, as was a liberal worker with a camera.Perfect PP went ballistic. "Somebody should ask who in Elections Canada invited the Liberal party to make a home video out of the visit to our headquarters," he said.
I know you are just a young pup with only 5 years toward your gold plated pension so I will let you in on a little secret about political Ottawa. THERE ARE NO SECRETS IN OTTAWA. There are only some people who try to keep secrets. If you want to know how people knew in advance about the raid, just watch the dreaded CBC once in a while, not just those days you star on Don Newman's Politics show. Tear your focus away from the spiritual channel just long enough to know what is really happening around you.
While we are on the case of petty politicians, let's hear what the Minister of Impending Deficits, Jim Flaherty, has to say on this scandalous behaviour. "I do find it odd, when I look at a photograph this morning and I see someone knocking on the door with cameras, with news cameras present." I listened to what Jimmy said and I waited with bated breath for him to blame this on the corporate tax policies of the Ontario government. No mention. I guess that scandal is over... for now.
When you promote yourselves as a squeaky clean government, any bit of dirt will show. PM Harper, Minister Flaherty and Perfect PP... you are all past your best-before date.
