Screamer buys more votes

For years now, the city of Ottawa has been pleading with the Con government to pay for the costs incurred by the city to provide security services for federally-rlated activities.  These include riding shotgun on motorcades, services to protect embassies, etc.  According to Chief White of the Otttawa Police, the amount can run as high as $10 million per year.  For three years the feds have ignored the issue.

But lo and behold, 2 days into the election, John "Screamer" Baird vows a 5 year contribution of $2 million per year IF he is re-elected.
