You have some 'splaining to do, Pierre.

"A secret Treasury Board of Canada decision record, dated May 6, 2008, documenting the acceptance of a proposal concerning "Provincial Meat Slaughter Establishments (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia)" which calls for the "elimination of federal delivery of provincial meat inspection programs.","annnounces publicvalues.ca.

"Meat produced in provincially registered facilities in Manitoba would not be inspected by anyone under this plan," says Bob Kingston, President of the Agriculture Union — Public Service Alliance of Canada."

If this is true, and given the history of the secrecy around this government and its lack of caring for Canadians, I figure it probably is, why would the Cons want to kill Canadians?

Are they seeking retribution from those "faux-westerners" who have fought the Cons plan to kill the Canadian Wheat Board?  Are they trying to increase the costs of provincial health care plans by aiding in the increase in the number of patients?  Are they trying to reward their buddies in the food industry for something?  Do they think that federal food inspectors are incompetent or corrupt?

Why, oh, why?

But the real questions are for the Perfect PP, who has been, for two years, the Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board.  Where were you when this decision was being made last May?  Were you out getting coffee for the real bosses or attending the official opening of an envelope?  Or are you just incompetent?
